Update: June 2017

2016 was a busy year. My Son moved to Round Rock, Texas, just North of Austin and got married in October. My daughter got married the following month in Maui, then moved to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. It will, however, be nice having a “vacation” spot in different parts of the country. I still enjoy traveling and have been on several cruises since the last reunion. The Panama Canal and Alaska were the most recent. One of my long-term goals has been to visit all 50 states. I completed seeing the seven remaining states, in 2015, while doing a three-week road trip. Each state does have something special to offer. It’s been fun, again, working on the Reunion Committee as every meeting seems like a mini-reunion. Looking forward to seeing Y’all (Texas and North Carolina seem to be rubbing off) and to do some catching up at our 55th.

Original Post:

I was a high school teacher for 10 years, but retired 12 years ago from mortgage banking (apparently, I got out just in time) and have lived in San Juan Capistrano for the past 25 years. I’m still very active in the San Juan Fiesta Association. This is the all-volunteer group that organizes and presents the annual (now 54th) Swallows Day Parade and Mercado held in March of each year here in town. This is the largest Non-motorized/equestrian parade in the country.

My son, Jeff Jr., almost 25, is a retired Sergeant from the U.S Army and is a decorated Iraqi combat veteran. He is now taking full advantage of the VA Bill and going to college studying psychology. My daughter, Janelle, almost 23 and is out on her own and loving live. She works for Wells Fargo Bank and is also going to college studying and now totally fluent in American Sign Language.

I especially enjoy Formula 1 racing; traveling (just getting ready for a 3 week cruise/tour to Alaska); wine making and of course… wine tasting. Recently, I have really enjoyed re-connecting with “old” class mates and college fraternity brothers.
