After AHS graduation I went onto East Los Angeles College, and then transferred to Cal State Fullerton University (CSUF). I played basketball at both schools and roomed with Frank Polito (AHS '62). I met Donna Ferguson when she came to CSUF as a freshman and I was a senior. We were married in 1970. Snow skiing, playing tennis, and traveling are what we have enjoyed in our life with our family. We have a son Jeff (born 1976) and a daughter Tracy (born 1979). We have lived in Newport Beach since 1995. My brother Paul Schroeder (AHS '60) and I formed a partnership founding The Schroeder Company in 1975. We own and manage apartment communities throughout Orange County. Donna and I have been involved with CSUF and this past year we were both honored with their Distinguished Alumni award as "Vision and Visionaries" at an event for our support to the University. Donna is a founding member of the California Art Club Collectors Circle located in Pasadena, and I am currently serving on the board of the OC United Way and the Deans Advisory Board at the Mihaylo College at CSUF.
