Update: 8/18/10 Hi, After living several years in Arizona, I moved back to Calif. Still in the desert, Palm Desert. I still work part time (2-3) days a week as an independent contractor for the US Marshal Service. After 33yrs with LAPD, I couldn't give up police work. I still write, working on another book, and am president of my writer's club. Just have one dog now, my Coton de Tulear, named Freya. When I turned 50 I joined the RED HATTERS. My two cousins and I travel alot with the Red Hatters. Original Post: After high school I attended ELA JC and Cal State LA. In 1967 I joined the Los Angeles Police Department. I retired in Jan 2000, after 32 1/2 yrs service, most of which I spent in south central LA. I was married for 18 yrs to a fellow officer. We had no children. I am now living in Arizona working full time at my hobby of writing. I just finished one yearbook for the police department and am working on another one about policewomen. I belong to the Romance Writers of American and the Police Writers Club. In my spare time I enjoy traveling. |
