Update: 5/2/12 After AHS, I went 1 sem. at ELAC, then joined the Navy and ended up on Adak Island in Alaska. Returned to Alhambra and Rich Munson and I shared an apt. while going to college. I worked at Huntington Mem. Hosp. as an O.R. Tech where I met my wife, Carol, an R.N. We were married in 1967 and will celebrate our 45th anniv. this Aug. Graduated from Cal State LA with a BA, an MPA from San Jose State and an MA in Counseling Psych from National Univ. Received my PhD in Counseling Psychology. We have 2 sons, Paul (42) married to Cynthia and Marcus (41) married to Jayne...three grandchildren (Paul's kids) - Brock, 17; Alek, 15; and Sophie, 12 1/2. We spent 3 years in AZ and 5 years in Alaska and the rest of the time in CA. I retired as a Dep. Chief Probation Officer in 1999 - 20 years was long enough. Carol retired shortly thereafter as Dep. Dir of Mental Health. We live in Dunsmuir, CA and enjoy fly fishing, golf and all the great recreational activities this area offers year round. Retirement is great ... even though I am busy rebuilding our fixer-upper house. Son Paul is a Major in the Air Force - soon to be eligible for Lt Col.. He is an Intelligence Officer involved in the U-2 & Predator programs at Beale AFB. Son Marcus is a spinal surgeon at UCSF Med Center. Marcus and Jayne are also involved in running and several areas of bicycle racing! I think that brings us up-to-date as of May 2012! He is the Commander of a Predator group at Beale AFB -- they fly unmanned Predators, which are regular-sized planes, in Iraq and Afghanistan by computer. Son Marcus is a spinal surgeon at UCSF Med Center. Marcus and Jayne are also world class triathletes on the Xterra circuit. We enjoy going to their races -- esp. the Worlds in Maui! I think that brings us up-to-date as of May 2007! |
