After leaving AHS I went to Brigham Young University for two years. I married Clair Eliason and helped put him through medical school. We have ten children and 14 (almost 16) grandchildren. We have lived in Philadelphia, Seattle, North Carolina, Boston, Idaho, Utah, California (Monterey area for fourteen years), Wisconsin, and Illinois. Currently Clair is working in the family practice department of the University of Illinois School of Medicine here in Rockford, Illinois. We live on the Rock River and do a lot of water activities. My youngest son is on a water-ski show team here. I have gone back to school to finish my bachelor's degree. I am a volunteer tutor at the Literacy Council and give advice on a hotline as a Master Gardener. I also do a lot of volunteer work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I would love to hear from any of you who remember me. I remember doing a project on Roman Togas with Shiela McCoy. I wish I had listened better to Miss Murphy in Latin. I never did figure out if Mr. ??? (the Algebra teacher) had a toupe. I remember those fun "slave days" when the boys carried our books, etc. I remember the fun we had getting to go to the beach instead of school with National Honor Society. We miss those California beaches! |
