Aloha all, I can't believe it's been 45 years!!! I am looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up with our lives... I have four beautiful children, a son and three daughters...They are all happily living their own lives now. I have seven grandchildren, the oldest beginning her first year of nursing school. After the children were raised, I went back to college to refresh my skills that would allow me to re-enter the work force. For a brief time, I flew for Northwest Airlines, visiting our beautiful country - especially Hawaii. When I left the airlines, I began my career with the King County Sheriff's Office as an Executive Secretary for the Commander of the Internal Investigations Unit. It is a wonderful and very interesting job! We - my youngest daughter and her husband - have been building a new home for the past year and a half. They built a mother law apartment for me - close but not too close...everyone is happy. Not having the big family home anymore gives me so much time to play. I've been dancing hula with a wonderful group of ladies for quite some time. We volunteer to dance for folks living in retirement homes, senior centers and churches. So looking at retirement - I see myself spending half my time at home in California, the other half in Washington and an extended visit to Hawaii each year visiting friends and just being in beautiful surroundings. I look forward to seeing everyone at our reunion - until take care, Darlene |
